Are you hurting?
Lost?
Need help navigating life or relationship struggles?
Life can be so painful. It’s even harder when you have tried what you know and it isn’t working.
Your healing matters to me.
Welcome. I’m happy to help.
Clients love my genuine, straightforward approach to therapy. They feel safe, understood, and value the results.
With 16 years of experience as a couples and individual therapist, I can see quickly into what is happening, and how I can begin to help you.
Counseling teaches hurting couples and individuals how to communicate, problem-solve, and heal from past hurts.
Healing occurs when people have a safe place to share their experience and be understood without being shamed or judged.
My aim is to leave you feeling heard and knowing what you can do about your pain right from the start.
My Counseling Methods are Effective in Helping:
Couples arguing in circles, struggling to communicate, wanting intimacy, and dealing with affairs.
Anxious people who want to quiet the noise inside.
Trauma including sexual abuse, manipulation or emotional/narcissistic abuse. Often, I’m the first person people trust to tell their story to.
Parents struggling to cope, gain structure, or find joy amidst the chaos.
People who have lost track of themselves, in a big transition, feeling depressed, or struggling to find meaning, joy, or purpose.
Communication is difficult. Most couples have a list of cyclical topics they cannot resolve. Relationship ruts are common.
Effective couples therapy clarifies the core problems, breaks cycles, implements productive communication, and restores balance, connection, and trust.
Trust violations include infidelity, hiding or lying. When affairs occur, both partners need help quickly.
Affair recovery helps balance the anger, shock, and pain of the person feeling betrayed versus the guilt, shame, and confusion of the person who stepped out of the relationship.
Did I mess up? Forget something? Should have said that differently? Upset someone? Like being lost in a sea of anticipation, anxiety leads to painful self-doubt, shame, and self-criticism.
Effective anxiety therapy identifies the root of anxiety, examines what reinforces it, eradicates shame and guilt, and teaches methods to quiet the noise.
Differences in values, raising children, managing households, blending families, or navigating divorce often create conflict.
Different families need different structure and rules to run smoothly.
Effective parenting counseling resolves parenting struggles, balances households, and teaches respectful methods for dealing with conflict.
My therapy approach makes understanding problems easy, so couples and individuals can make changes and feel better.
In the first counseling session, I will ask what your concerns are and immediately start mapping out the problems. After offering a comprehensive understanding of how and why it makes sense you’re struggling, I will begin supplying practical and effective methods to achieve your goals and facilitate healing.
Most clients learn a lot in therapy; thus, I encourage notetaking. During collaborations, I frequently give assignments, resources, and reading to supplement the learning process.
People value my transparency, integrity, and respectful approach to counseling. They feel normal and safe, challenged to grow, and gain clarity quickly.
Untangling problems at their core, promoting healing, and creating lasting change are the goals of therapy.
An astonishing amount of healing takes place when we bridge the past and present. Connecting the dots leads to profound insights. Clients often report feeling blown away by how much they learn in counseling a short time. This leaves people hungry to learn and motivated to heal.
It’s easy to begin therapy.
As a Licensed Professional Counselor and Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist, I specialize in working with couples and families. I am frequently asked if I do individual counseling; I do it all the time. My expertise allows me to target problems at the core which is very effective and beneficial to all. I welcome anyone who likes my style and would like to work with me. I believe in helping people in whatever therapy format (couples/individual) works best for them.
I provide short-term help or long-term therapy. Therapy is a revolving door for some; people come and go as they need guidance. I’m privileged to be a trusted mentor as people navigate life.
If you have questions about getting started, please feel free to call or contact me. I personally return my phone calls and will answer all of your questions so you can feel comfortable about working with me, and the therapy process.
